First Impressions: Revlon Fabulash Mascara

I've been using my beloved Maybelline One by One mascara for a few months now and I've gotten to the point were I'm actually worried about using it all up and having to spend $20.69 to get a new one. Thankfully, I received a few makeup products for Christmas- Fabulash being one of them.

Colour: Blackened Brown

I wasn't to familiar with the product so I decided to look at some of the reviews out there, and discovered that there really aren't many people out there who like the mascara. As a result, I didn't have high hopes.

The major disappointment for me was the brush. I generally like my mascara wands to be skinny (the only exception being the one by one wand) but the placement of bristles on this wand is just awful. I suspect that the spacing between the bristles is the main cause of lashes clumping together. I also found it impossible to separate and define my lashes because the brush just wouldn't allow it.

And that honestly is my only criticism.

After getting over the initial disappointment of the brush, when carefully applied, I liked how the mascara added a bit more length onto my lashes and a bit of volume to- which is all I really look for in a mascara. I'm also pleased to say that the lasting power is very good. Recently it's been extremely warm were I live- 38-41 Celsius to be exact, and I haven't experienced any flaking or smudging even out in the heat.

Although I wouldn't use this mascara if I was going to out somewhere special, I think it's great for everyday wear because it looks very natural. I can completely understand why some people don't like Fabulash- if you have shorter lashes, I can't imagine this mascara doing much for you, but I'm glad I've given it a try and I hope I continue to enjoy using it.

Thanks For Reading :)
